Don’t call it a comeback!

Boxing_GlovesGuess who’s back! It has been FOREVER since I last posted for you guys. Almost a year actually! Time sure does fly, I would say “when you are having fun”, but it has been more hectic than fun. A lot has gone on but I will just give you the cliffs notes for now.

My wife and I spent the better part of 2013 searching for our first home to call our own. After months of looking and being out bid on the first house we really liked, we found a beautiful home outside of Atlanta, Georgia. It wasn’t easy dealing with the sellers ( a long crazy story that I may get into another time), but we made it happen and we absolutely love it!

We have been settled in for a while now and the kids all adjusted wonderfully to their new school. That was one of my biggest concerns and thank goodness it never became an issue! They have wonderful teachers and they definitely communicate better than the teachers in Virginia.

I have alway been a Virginian so moving several states away was really scary for me. I am almost 33 years old and never really had to deal with making new friends or learning a new area. Once we got here, my nervousness quickly vanished. The area where we live has anything I could ever want or need within 15 minutes of my house so learning how to get around was extremely easy. I was also quickly put at ease because we have already made amazing friends. They are awesome people who have helped make our transition seemless.

For the most part, the last year or so has been great to us. We had some speed bumps along the way (some of them crazy and I may address later), but all in all it was pretty good. I have a beautiful family, a beautiful home, and air in my lungs! That alone is worth a smile today.
